Starting A Local Podcast Series

Ladies of Real Estate .:

As agents, we’ve got our hands full! So starting up a new venture can sometimes seem like a daunting task. But if that new venture can ultimately bring you more business, grow your team, and make you more money - would it be worth it?

We’re living in an era where podcasts are extremely popular. We often see agents start up podcast series that revolve heavily around real estate information. But here’s the thing, no one in your local community is really going to be heavily invested into listening into a podcast that’s only about local real estate data. Quite frankly, it’s boring!

If you want to start up a podcast series, make it about your community. Name the podcast series after your community so locals can easily found you and associate with it. Have conversations in the podcast involving around community stuff. Like local news, events, best places to eat at or visit, family friendly fun, etc. You know how most podcasts have commercials? Well, in this instance, you tie yourself into as the “ad.” In your podcast, you can promote yourself as the local expert that can help with buying or selling. You don’t want to spam your podcast series, just mention it with a simple call to action (like a number to call or a website to visit) at the middle or end of your podcast. Think of it as a miniature personal commercial like you hear on the radio - except a little more personal and less cheesy.

You can then promote your podcast series throughout social media. It will be a great way to build a local name people trust and grow your business. If you offer enough value in your podcast, then your local community may recognize you and have you published in local news prints, magazines, and even on the local news channel. Anything you can do to solidify your name in your community is a great way to produce business. Plus, podcast is a huge bonus if you hate being on camera and still have people get familiarized with you! We’ll dive more into creating podcasts in the coaching center.
