If you haven't heard of Dwayne Bergeman yet, be on the lookout. If he hasn't changed up his alias name as of yet, he will soon enough with the amount of women he is harassing within our industry - and the news is spreading, fast. In the past 5 months alone, we've had group members sharing their experience with calls from Dwayne, spanning across nearly 15 states - if not more! He's what we'd dub a serial-harasser. There doesn't seem to be any physical altercations/issues (and hopefully there won't be!) but he does seem to make disturbing phone calls to make our ladies in the industry feel uncomfortable. His number seems to be coming from multiple Oregon area codes.
It takes a special type of sickness to invest the amount of time this character has on harassing women. There have been reports in the group that some ladies have gotten a hold of Dwayne's family members, and they are working to end the issues he is causing. As of right now, there are no news of any legal ramifications that have come down on Dwayne. He does come off pretending that he really wants to buy a home, so be careful and wary of the name. We'll provided updated information in the group, and here, if we pick up wind that he is using a different alias. We hope the police get involved with this situation before it escalates. We want our ladies being protected! And remember, we recommend having someone always go with you if you're meeting new clients for the first time at a home. If you can, be sure to try to vet them first at your office. Don't forget to bring some form of protection, and ALWAYS tell someone where you will be at all times, and what time you expect to be back. It's unfortunate these are concerns we have to face, but in this day and age we always have to be prepared.
